4. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services that may set their own cookies or storage:

Stripe (Payment Processing)

GitHub (Authentication)

We use GitHub OAuth for authentication. When you log in via GitHub, their authentication flow may use cookies. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.

Complimetric is committed to privacy. We explicitly do NOT use:

Advertising or marketing cookies
Social media tracking pixels
Third-party behavioral analytics

6. Managing Your Data

Since we only use localStorage for essential functionality, you have full control over this data:

Logging out: Clears all authentication tokens
Browser settings: You can clear localStorage via your browser's developer tools or privacy settings
Deleting your account: Removes all data associated with your account

Note: Clearing localStorage while logged in will log you out and reset your theme preference.

7. Legal Basis (GDPR)

The data stored in localStorage is processed based on:

Legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): For authentication tokens and essential functionality necessary to provide the service you requested
Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): When you use our service, storing these tokens is necessary to fulfill our contract with you

Since we only use strictly necessary technical storage and no tracking cookies, no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy Directive.
